The Attica Zoological Park as a member of EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria) is the only zoological park in Greece today, which annually attracts thousands of visitors of all ages, from all over Greece. For visitors, zoos are a place for entertainment and relaxation. It seeks to be a place of education for the public, protection and conservation of the various species.The zoo is home to more than 1,500 animals representing 220 species, in an area of 20-hectares (49 acres). It is open 365 days a year.
